What do I do if I have a commercial debt?

Normally matters can be resolved by simply sending what is commonly referred to as letter before claim. Whilst this often results in a dialogue between the parties to the dispute, in some instances further action is required. In which case, we will act on your behalf to recover those debts through the courts. It is, however, important to note that if the debtor is in a distressed state and at risk of insolvency there is a possibility that not all the monies due will be recovered. It is, therefore, vital to instruct solicitors as soon as possible.

Fixed fee debt recovery solicitors.

At Birch Law we provide a fixed fee debt recovery service for undisputed debts. The fees set out below apply to claims of no more than £200,000. They apply to claims for undisputed debts providing the debtor is in England and Wales and no enforcement action is needed. If the other party disputes your claim at any point, we will discuss what further work will be required and provide you with revised fee estimate if necessary.

Depending upon the value and complexities of the case we may need to instruct a barrister to prepare the court documents. If necessary we will take instructions from you in advance of anything being incurred.
